The FENIX material is a marvel in modern design that not only looks amazing but is extremely innovating. Now we’re sure you’re asking yourself, what is FENIX? If you’re anything like me, your first thought is a mythical bird that bursts into flames and is reborn from the ashes. But that’s not the FENIX we are talking about.
We are in fact talking about a new and innovative material that is taking over the design world. FENIX is a next-generation product that is comprised of nanoparticles and acrylic resins that have been hardened and cured through an Electron Beam Curing process. The end result is a soft and durable material that we think is perfect for both vanities and countertops.
Why is FENIX so perfect? For starters, FENIX has a unique property that allows for thermal self-healing in the event micro scratches occur. Which is funnily enough, how its creators got the name. Why not name a material that can self-repair via heat after a bird that is reborn from its own ashes? Kind of perfect if you ask me.
Because of its construction, the FENIX material is resistant to finger prints, small scratches, abrasions, and heat. It is water repellent, anti-bacterial, and resistant to mold, making it safe for contact with food and extremely easy to clean. It has a low light reflective surface that gives it a matte look and a soft touch.
We incorporate the FENIX material into our designs via finishes and countertops. Any of our 400 or 600 series can be finished in six different FENIX colors and all of our vanities are compatible with our FENIX countersinks. All of the FENIX countersinks are constructed right here in our plant by our FENIX expert and skilled craftsman, Jim.
